History
Collections for the museum complex of pedagogical institute began to take shape in 1975. The museum is a small hall, which was shown biogroups animals occurring in the region, as well as paleontological and archeological finds.
The first museum complex lasted until 2001. On this basis, in 2002, was created and opened a new exhibition practically. Of the previous exhibits in the new exhibition features about 10%, mostly from paleontological paleontological nature monument "Goose flight" and stuffed animals. Greatly expanded exhibition space of the museum, now it is 400 sq.m. and occupies a large part of the fourth floor of the main building of the institute.
Conceptually, the museum is defined as a museum complex and PSPI represented by 3 sections:
1. Section of Mineralogy and Petrology
2. Section of Paleontology
3. Section of Zoology
The main fund of the museum is 2422 storage units.
Support Fund is 66 units.
The museum complex is a research, educational, cultural and educational division of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, a repository of monuments of the natural history of natural regions of Kazakhstan.
The main mission of the museum complex - involved in the preparation of highly qualified specialists, biologists, ecologists, geographers, and historians.
A major focus of the work is to collect, study, preservation of museum objects, collections and other valuables that have scientific, educational, cultural, historical and environmental value.
