On the XVІІ Asian games which were taking place in Korea, fighters of freestyle won four medals, there are three silver and one bronze. The Pavlodar fighter Mamed Ibragimov, the graduate of faculty of physical culture and sport of PSPI, won a bronze medal in these competitions. In the first fight he didn't leave chances to the Tajik fighter, having crushed him with the score 10:0. For getting into the final Mamed conceded to the fighter from Kyrgyzstan against the minimum advantage in fight 1:3.

For a bronze medal our fighter won against the Indian fighter Kumar Singh fight.
